How much is enough? How much money is enough money for you to get what you need to be done in this world every day for the rest of your life? This is a judge free zone. Your life’s mission could be in the range of feeding the poor to having a different meal every day for the rest of your life (both would be cool in my opinion).
It doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is that you understand that no matter what your life’s mission is there is only one answer to the question, how much is enough? When it comes to income, the answer will always be; Infinity.
You are locked into a constant battle with life every day, and some of you don’t know it. It’s fun to see those superheroes on the big screen battling the forces of evil, but this is the real world.
If you’re looking for Captain America to come to save the day when your kids are hungry, or your mother needs emergency surgery, you’d better look in the mirror. If you think I’m being a bit dramatic (get it) here, I advise you to keep reading.
Why do you think the richest people on Earth keep working? Surely Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have enough money to do whatever they want right? Wrong. Even in retirement, they stay involved in producing more income. Surely they have enough money to live comfortably into their last days, why not just relax and enjoy life?
Maybe there’s something they’re still striving for, something, not even their stacked bank accounts can afford to purchase. It’s either that or they have learned that no amount of money is enough money when it comes to living comfortably or saving the world.
Bill Gates and his wife love charity, right? Well, they pledged to give all of their money to charity upon their deaths so, let’s say the answer is yes. Okay, if that’s the case why don’t they just keep 1 billion and give the rest away?
Why keep holding on to all that money until the day you die? Hmm. Allow me to answer a question with some more questions. Can you just pay off a charity like a credit card balance? Will a billion-dollar check be enough to Feed The Children forever or cure cancer? Why not?
No matter how much money you have in this world you are always one bad day away from being broke unless you have a backup plan(s). Preferably I’d rather have plans with an “S”. More is better in this case, obviously.
